What is the best age to start training your dog?
Generally, clients are bringing their puppies to class as soon as their 2nd set of vaccinations are completed. This is great - we can teach the good behaviors we want, using positive training methods - before the puppy develops bad habits.
I have a small dog, do I really need to train him?
Any dog, large or small, when trained is a pleasure to live with. The dog enjoys much more freedom as their owners are comfortable to take them anywhere.
Can you train an older dog?
Absolutely! Dogs of any age can easily learn new skills. One of my dogs was adopted at age 5 from a breeding kennel. Hollie went on to be a pet therapy dog and earned her Agility Trial Champion (ATCH) title.
